Meet Your Practitioner: My Journey and Philosophy in Infant Feeding Support

A Decade of Compassionate Care, Clinical Excellence, and Holistic Support

A Decade of Supporting Families

My story as a healthcare professional began in 2015, when I qualified as a Midwife. Over the past ten years, I’ve been privileged to work in a bustling NHS hospital and within the community, guiding thousands of parents through the profound experience of birth and those precious early days of parenthood.

The Transition to Specialist Care

While midwifery provided deep insight into the beginnings of life, I noticed a gap in targeted support once families left hospital—especially around infant feeding. Too often, I saw parents enduring discomfort and unsettled babies, reassured that everything was “fine” despite knowing, deep down, it wasn’t.

Wanting to offer families better answers, I undertook advanced training in frenulotomy and lactation and qualified as a Tongue-Tie Practitioner, developing the surgical expertise to safely and effectively perform frenulotomy (tongue-tie release) and achieved my IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) credential—the highest global qualification in lactation care!

My Philosophy: "Safe, Gentle, and Holistic"

I see more than a tongue-tie—I see a baby eager to feed and a parent striving to bond. My approach blends the clinical safety of midwifery with the specialist knowledge of a lactation consultant and tongue-tie practitioner. When you welcome me into your home, you receive more than a procedure; you benefit from a practitioner who understands the physical recovery, the developmental journey of your baby, and the emotional landscape of feeding. My aim is to help families move from stress to confidence, with a feeding plan that suits their unique needs.

I consider the whole picture: you, your baby, and your personal feeding goals.
